Senior Health Cards ID Cards:

The Health ID project is managed by the Multicultural Aged Resource Support project and assists seniors whose English does not enable them to provide medical officers and staff with basic health information when they need medical assistance.

It is also aimed at assisting First Aid providers and ambulance officers in making decisions on appropriate treatment in cases of emergency. Being a card holder eliminates levels of fear associated with leaving the house and possibly of risk/accident, especially in cases of heart diseases, psychiatric diseases and dementia.

For more information, contact the Multicultural Aged Resource Support Worker by visiting the Centre or calling (02) 9727 0477

Fairfield Migrant Interagency (FMI):

The Fairfield Migrant Interagency brings together many local workers and stakeholders who have an interest in the needs of refugees and migrants living in the Fairfield local government area.

Representatives from local ethnic organisations, service providers, government and non-government organisations attend the interagency meetings. Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month, with the exception of December and January.

Please contact the convenors for further information, copies of minutes or to add an item to the agenda.
