The Cabramatta Youth Team provides a range of services for young people in the Fairfield Local Government area. The team believes it has " A RESPONSIBILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE EFFECTIVELY".

To do this we hope to ensure that specific policies and programs within the community are established, linked or enhanced to improve young people's capacity to access mainstream services.

The team has a responsibility to identify the needs of young people in the area and actively work towards the fulfilment of these needs.

The Youth Team is managed by a Sub-Committee of young people who live in the Fairfield LGA and are under the age of 25. If any young person would like to be involved in the Management Committee, please contact the Co-ordinator.

All members of the community are welcome to contribute ideas and comments on the Youth Team and their projects, including ideas for new programs.

The co-ordinator is responsible for developing, resourcing and co-ordinating youth projects at Cabramatta Community Centre. An important aspect of this position is to advocate on behalf of youth and lobby for new services to address needs.

The position also involves linking Youth Team projects with other Youth Team projects, other Centre projects, and with other services in the Fairfield LGA.

The Co-ordinator is also responsible for providing support and supervision to the staff of the Youth Team, and supporting the Sub-Committee.
